Lach Black (born June 18, 2006), known professionally as Lil Devilish, is an American rapper, lyricist, and entrepreneur.[1][2] He founded Clearblow, a healthcare technology company, and serves as its chief executive officer.[3][4]

Lil Devilish performs primarily in the country rap genre. His recorded releases include the singles "Wish Kid," "Over the Limit,"[5][6] and "Bet on Black."[7]

Biography

Black was born on the central coast of California and was the third oldest among nine siblings. He was homeschooled during his high school years, a period that gave him an opportunity to pursue his interests in both music and entrepreneurship.[8][9]

His interest in country rap was influenced by performers including Lil Nas X, Yelawolf, and Jelly Roll.[10] He adopted the name Lil Devilish and began creating music independently, writing, producing, and mixing recordings in a bedroom studio.[11][12][13]

In 2022, Lil Devilish began pursuing country rap professionally with the release of his debut single, "Wish Kid." The song focuses on themes of hope and longing.[14] He later released "Over the Limit," a song described as autobiographical and reflecting on his childhood experiences in rural poverty. The track subsequently received attention on platforms including Spotify and TikTok.[15][16]

In 2021, Black established Clearblow, a healthcare technology startup focused on AI-based respiratory health solutions.[17][18] Accounts of the company state that Black's own experience with a chronic lung condition contributed to his interest in developing new respiratory health technologies.[19]

Clearblow's main product is the Clearblow Spirometer, described as a portable digital device designed to monitor lung function and equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. During Black's tenure as founder and CEO, the company completed a pre-seed funding round led by Global VC Partners.[20]
